Any outstanding recipes for bread pudding with raisins?

Raisin Bread Pudding





1 1# loaf of raisin or cinnamon bread


4-6 Tbsp. soft butter or margarine


1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts


4 beaten eggs


1 cup sugar


1 1/2 tsp. vanilla


1/4 tsp. salt


3 cups scalded milk





Spread the slices of bread with butter then cut into cubes or triangles. Put into a buttered 3 qt. casserole dish and sprinkle with the nuts. I add an extra handful of raisins at this point.


Beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt util well mixed.


Beat in the scalded milk and pour over the bread making certain all the bread is coated with the milk mixture.


Let stand 30 minutes then bake in a 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes.


Cool slightly before serving. Serve with whiskey sauce or Ice cream.


Whiskey sauce


1/2 pt. vanilla Ice cream softened and 1 Tbsp. whiskey added to 1/2 cup whipped creamAny outstanding recipes for bread pudding with raisins?
6 slices day old egg bread, white or cinnamon swirl bread


1/2 C raisins (can soak them in rum for 15 minutes if you like that flavor)


2 TBLS melted Butter


2 cups milk


3 eggs


3/4 or 1/2 cup evaporated cane sugar or regular (depending on how sweet you like it)


2 tsp vanilla


2 tsp cinnamon








Preheat oven to 350


Cut bread into small pieces place in a baking pan--8 inch square. Drizzle with butter and add raisins


Mix eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, mix well. Pour mixture over bread until it is covered. Bake for 45 minutes

RAISIN BREAD PUDDING





Cooking time: 16 1/2 to 19 minutes 1/4 c. raisins 3 eggs 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Dash of salt 2 c. milk 2 tbsp. butter


Combine bread and raisins in a 2 quart round microproof dish. Set aside. Place milk and butter in a 4 cup glass measure. Cook on high, 4 1/2 to 5 minutes, or until steaming hot. Gradually stir in egg mixture. Pour milk mixture over bread and raisins. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with waxed paper. Cook on 50 (medium) for 12 to 14 minutes, or until set. Center may be slightly soft at end of cooking time. It will set as pudding cools. Serve warm or chilled. Makes 6 servings.
