I don't have an answer for your question, but LOL, I thought fig preserves only existed in MY family! I have Tons of jars of the stuff and don't know what to do with it except to eat it on toast! Sorry I wasn't much help.
You can't get any easier then Tastefully Simple breads. They have an AWESOME beer bread that they are famous for but you don't HAVE to make it with beer. I've known people to use sparkling apple juice or white soda. Any carbonated drink will work. And it's so simple! Just add the beverage, mix and put it in the over for 45mins and your DONE! There's nothing like warm homemade bread and the smell that takes over the house and it's even better when it's this easy! Go to this website to check it out. (a friend of mine is a consultant. Here is her id # to order online if your interested. 0054163)

Good luck and enjoy!

PS: They also have a wonderful Almond Pound Cake that would work well. Both are delicious!
