No hummus please :]Does anyone know any yummy recipes with pita bread?
It's just great if you cut it into wedges, put a little olive oil, salt and pepper on it and bake it in a 375 degree oven for about 5 minutes, or until crunchy. Use it to dip up your favorite spinach or artichoke dip. Or serve with olive or artichoke tapenade. Yum.
Top pita wedges with basil pesto, feta, pinenuts and roast at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle some freshly chopped basil on top.
Great served with Saganaki and lemon wedges.
If you can separate the pita in order to stuff it: add in marinara sauce, pepperoni, provolone. Heat a grill with a bit of olive oil on it, and grill the pita on both sides until stuffing is nice, warm and gooey. You can always do a veg rendidition of this if you are so inclined.Does anyone know any yummy recipes with pita bread?
