Yes unleavened breads do not call for yeast. These are sometimes referred to as flat bread, or sometimes pocket bread.
Try Irish soda bread.
All of these recipes use baking soda and baking powder to make the dough rise.

I found a recipe that used beer instead of yeast in a Reader's Digest.

4 cups flour

2 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup sugar

12 ounces (1 can) beer

2 eggs, slightly beaten

Preheat oven to 375* farenheit. Sift together flour, powder, salt, and sugar. Add beer and eggs, and stir batter is just blended. Pour in greased 9x5x3 loaf pan and bake for around 70 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool.

The original recipe calls for Guiness beer, but I've found other beers work too. Also, I've increased the sugar and added cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice for a marvelous holiday bread.
yeast helps the bread to get higher.
Yes... u should try arabic pita bread. It's flat, yummy, and doesn't require yeast.
Yes, look up salt raising breads. You can also make breads using baking powder and baking soda... do a google search.
Unleavened bread, cornbread, and soda bread are the only ones that I know of. I hope this helps. You might try All recipes.com.
