BANANA BREAD





2/3 c. sugar


1/4 c. reduced fat butter, softened


3/4 c. egg substituted or 1 low cholesterol egg and 2 egg whites


1 c. mashed ripe bananas, about 2 lg.


1/4 c. water


1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour


1 tsp. baking soda


1/2 tsp. salt


1/4 tsp. baking powder





Oven 350 degrees. Spray loaf pan with vegetable cooking spray.


Beat sugar and butter in medium bowl, until light and fluffy. Beat in egg substitute (or egg and egg whites) bananas and water on low speed until well blended.





Stir in remaining ingredients just until moistened. Pour into loaf pan.





Bake 8';-60 minutes, 9';-45 to 50 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.





Cool 5 minutes. Loosen sides of loaf from pan. Remove from pan and cool completely before slicing if you can resist.Best banana bread recipes?
3 ripe bananas, mashed


2 eggs, well beaten


2 cups all-purpose flour


3/4 cup granulated sugar


1 teaspoon salt


1 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 cup chopped nuts





In a large mixing bowl, mix together the mashed bananas and beaten eggs. Sift together the flour, sugar, salt, and soda and stir into banana mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts.

Banana Bread





INGREDIENTS:


1 cup mashed bananas


1 cup sour cream


1/4 cup margarine


1 1/3 cups white sugar


2 eggs


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


2 cups all-purpose flour


1 teaspoon baking soda


1 teaspoon baking powder


1/4 teaspoon salt





DIRECTIONS:


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x13 inch pan, or two 7x3 inch loaf pans.





Combine banana and sour cream. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and banana mixture. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; stir into the banana mixture. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan or pans.





Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.








Creamy Banana Bread





INGREDIENTS:


1/2 cup margarine, softened


1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened


1 1/4 cups white sugar


2 eggs


1 cup mashed bananas


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour


1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 teaspoon baking soda


3/4 cup chopped pecans


2 tablespoons brown sugar


2 teaspoons ground cinnamon





DIRECTIONS:


Cream the butter or margarine and cream cheese together. Gradually add the white sugar, and continue beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, and soda; mix until batter is just moist.





In a small bowl, mix together chopped pecans, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and cinnamon.





Divide 1/2 batter into two greased and floured 8x4 inch loaf pans. Sprinkle pecan mixture over batter in pans, and top with remaining batter.





Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Banana Bran Bread





1/4 c. butter


1/2 c. sugar


1 egg


1 c. bran


1 1/2 c. mashed banana


2 T. water


1 1/2 c. bread flour


2 tsp. baking powder


1/2 tsp salt


1/2 tsp baking soda


3/4 tsp vanilla


3/4 c. nuts (optional)





Cream the butter and the sugar. Beat in the egg and bran.


Combine and add bananas, water, and vanilla. Add nuts, if desired. Add dry ingredients to mixture. Stir until blended only. Bake the bread in a greased loaf pan lined with wax paper at 350 degrees for about 50 min.
