Does anyone have bread recipes that don't require any type of yeast?

I am a bread lover! Or a.k.a. BREAD FREAK! I love to bake! BREAD! lol!Does anyone have bread recipes that don't require any type of yeast?

Best Ever Cornbread





1 cup yellow cornmeal


陆 cup A/P flour


1 tsp. salt


1 tsp. baking powder


陆 tsp. baking soda


1 cup buttermilk


陆 cup evaporated milk


陆 stick of butter, melted


1 egg





Preheat oven to 450潞F. Grease a 9'; cast iron skillet and warm it in the oven during preheat.





Whisk all dry ingredients together in large bowl. Whisk all wet ingredients together, then add to dry ingredients. Pour into skillet, and bake for 15 minutes. Yield: 4-6 servings

Onion-Cheese Bread

1 tablespoon vegetable oil


3/4 cup finely diced onion


1/2 cup milk


1 egg, beaten


1 1/2 cups biscuit mix


1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar


1/2 teaspoon onion salt


2 tablespoons melted butter


1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or parsley leaves


Butter, for serving





Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.


Heat the oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until tender, about 7 minutes.


In a large bowl, add the milk and egg to the biscuit mix, stirring just until the mix is moistened. Fold in the onions and 1/2 cup of the cheese.


Spoon the dough into a greased 8-inch round cake pan. Mix the onion salt into the melted butter and drizzle the mixture over the dough. Sprinkle the bread with chives or parsley (or even jalapeno slices) and bake for 15 minutes. Top the bread with the remaining 1/2 cup cheese and bake until the bread is cooked through and the cheese top golden, about 5 minutes longer, Cut the bread into wedges and serve warm with butter.

Done Buttered Biscuits





2 cups Bisquick


1 stick butter, melted


8 ozs. sour cream


1. Mix together Bisquick, butter and sour cream.


2. Place by teaspoonfuls into buttered minimuffin tins.


3. Bake in a preheated 400潞F oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with your favorite jelly, jam or preserves. You won't need butter. Makes 12-18 minibiscuits.





Note: These freeze beautifully after they are baked.
Biscuits, quick breads, Irish soda bread. As a general rule you'll want to use a lower-protein flour (AP with some cake flour thrown in will usually do).





But the question is, why do you wish to avoid yeast? It might be a little easier to tailor an answer if we knew that.
You are looking for a recipe for biscuits or a quick bread of some sort (banana bread or muffin type recipes). Instead of yeast they use baking powder as leavening.
Any quick bread recipe will be yeast-free. Like banana bread, zucchini bread, or pumpkin bread.
I belive some breads are made up of just powders i.e. baking soda, flour, baking powder, etc. But gon on cooking websites and browse around..
